Alright, Copenhagen – still 80 days later, a favourite place of mine, and I am so glad we managed to fit it in on the way to Norway. A part of me is sad we weren’t here longer, but another part of me is just as excited to go back with perhaps a slightly bigger budget…
However, after a looott of tiktok time I am very happy with how we spent our time in Copenhagen, so here’s the itinerary.
Check in 4:00 pm – 30-hour clock starts now:
Start by just exploring the streets, taking in the beautiful Danish architecture, and getting a feel for the Scandi lifestyle. Pop into a couple of shops and take some photos along the way before heading to Nyhavn for golden hour. It is stunning and worth the visit.

For dinner, head to Palazzo for a reasonably priced dinner. Don’t skip the starters as they were the best! Near by is Trivilo if you would like to visit the world’s first amusement park or grab a drink at Apéro wine bar if you’re near Nyhavn.

9:00 am
Start the day by grabbing a lime or rental bike to La Banchina for your morning coffee and a swim. It does get busy by midday, but this is the best stop to have a coffee, relax, and swim. Nearby is Lillie bakery for breakfast before heading into the more central part of Copenhagen.

11:30 am
For some time out of the sun, head to the Danish Architecture museum to understand the architectural history of Copenhagen and it’s differentiation to the way they approach design. – Afterwards, for a lunch snack, go to DøP -the organic sausage man for a traditional hot dog. Stop by the shops my personal fav was & Other Stories, and then grab another coffee and toastie at Minas Kaffe Bar, or head to Poulette for a burger (a Dua Lipa rec).

2:30 pm
Walk over to the Free Town Chisitania, an intentional community in the city. The museum gives more history on how this community started and people’s lives within the community.

3:30 pm
After a lot of biking or walking time to get back into the water for an afternoon dip. Where? Doesn’t matter as much as there are so many spots around this area you could type in Swim spots on Google . Pick your fancy or the closest one to you. We went where we parked at the start of the day, which was Badezone Sønder Refshalebassin. Great grass/park area, great jumping spot, and fresh water. Bring a drink, a book, and a snack, and you will be set for the afternoon.

6:00pm
The last stretch of the day, if you are feeling lazy like us, head to Reffen, a street food market styled out of converted shipping containers. With a huge range of food and affordablish options for Copenhagen, this was a great way to finish an incredible 30ish hours in Copenhagen.
